(877) 761-5059 Edwards & Patterson Law is proud to announce the launch of its 2019 Veterans’ Grant Essay Contest. The contest is the personal injury firm’s way of showing its appreciation for those who have served and sacrificed to protect our country and the liberties that we enjoy.
People who want to nominate a veteran can submit an essay on or before the deadline of 11:59 p.m. on July 1, 2019. Edwards & Patterson Law will select two deserving veterans and give a total of $1,500 in cash grants. The first-place winner will receive $1,000, and the second-place winner will receive a $500 grant.
The nominee must be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces (Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy or Army). Anyone can submit an essay. Veterans are also allowed to nominate themselves.
To nominate a veteran for a grant, participants must submit:
- A picture of the veteran
- A 600-word essay about the veteran
- The participant’s phone and e-mail contact information.
In the essay, participants must describe why the veteran deserves the grant. The essay must also describe the veteran’s service, including the veteran’s branch of the U.S. Armed Forces, dates of service and the highlights of his or her military career. The essay should also describe how the participant knows the veteran. Participants can nominate only one veteran per essay.
Edwards & Patterson Law, Personal Injury Lawyers, will appoint a panel to review all essays and nominees. The panel’s selections will be final. The law firm will notify the winners on August 1, 2019.
